New years resolutions are BS

new year resolutions are
bs

It’s that time of the year again when we’re met with the dreaded question ‘What’s your New Year’s Resolution?’. Sometimes, I think that we feel under pressure to go along with the trend of having to launch a new fitness plan, regime or goals in January because it’s “the thing to do”. What happens is, we tend to overindulge at Christmas and feel guilty and sluggish. To counteract that feeling of not feeling ourselves, we write down all the things we’re going to do to get in shape on January 2nd (let’s face it, no one starts on New Year’s Day) without thinking about if it’s what we actually want.

Changing your lifestyle for the long run is a decision that you have to make regardless of the time of year. If fitness isn’t on your mind this January, that doesn’t mean you have to wait until 2023 to start. Start at any time, a time that suits you, but ultimately, it’s you that has to make that decision and only you can choose to continue a better lifestyle for you. Hiring a coach can help guide you and hold you accountable to your goals, but only you can ensure that these goals are met. Life changes are what’s important, not New Year’s Resolutions.

At Victory Fitness we make it a point that we will give you all the tools necessary to achieve your goals, we will guide and support you every step of the way but you need to take the plunge to start and have the mindset to follow through and redeem the rewards to the efforts you put in.

We offer semi-personal coaching, online coaching and fully private coaching. Semi-personal training gives people the best of both worlds, having a coach, tailored training and nutrition plan but training with a group of people. Online coaching is ideal for those who want to train themselves either in their own gym or at home but still have someone to keep them accountable to their goals. Premium or fully private coaching is for those who still might feel uncomfortable training with others, or are working towards a specific goal and need longer sessions or need the gym to themselves.
